Skroll Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Skroll Inc ("Skroll," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Skroll mobile applications, skrollapp.com, and related services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information, and the choices available to you. Skroll Inc is responsible for the personal information processed to operate these Services.

Contact us about privacy or your personal information at support@skrollapp.com, with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.

1. Information we collect

The information collected depends on how you use Skroll. You can browse certain public content without an account; device and usage information may still be processed when you do so.

Account and profile information. When you register, update your profile, or request support, we collect information you provide, such as your name, username, email address or phone number, password credentials, profile photo, biography, links, and optional profile details. We process verification results and security information to authenticate you and protect your account.

Content and communications. We process videos, images, audio, live broadcasts, captions, playlists, comments, messages, reports, and support communications you submit, together with associated information such as upload times and the accounts involved. Content may reveal personal information about you or others. Only share information you have the right to share.

Activity and preferences. We collect interactions such as videos viewed, watch duration, likes, follows, saves, searches, playlist activity, purchases, membership status, and participation in live streams, including gifts and tips. We use these interactions to operate features, recommend content, and produce platform and creator statistics.

Purchases and creator payments. We process order details, billing and shipping information provided during checkout, transaction identifiers, purchased products, Coins, gifts, memberships, refunds, disputes, wallet entries, and payout information. Payment providers process payment credentials. Skroll receives payment confirmations and related transaction information; full card details entered into a payment provider's checkout are handled by that provider.

Verification information. If you request creator or identity verification, we may collect the identity documents, photographs, or verification videos requested in that process. These materials are used to evaluate the request, prevent fraud, and meet applicable obligations. They are not part of your public profile.

Device, connection, and diagnostic information. Our systems and service providers process information such as IP address, device and operating system details, app version, language, browser information, push notification tokens, access times, error reports, and service logs. An IP address may indicate an approximate location.

Information from other sources. We receive information from payment and authentication providers, other users who interact with or report your account, and vendors that help deliver the Services. For example, a payment provider may tell us that a purchase succeeded, a subscription renewed, or a payment was refunded.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts, send verification codes, and secure access.
  • Deliver videos, live streams, messages, shopping, memberships, and purchased content.
  • Personalize feeds and recommendations using viewing activity, engagement, follows, and content information.
  • Process transactions, fulfill orders, calculate earnings, administer payouts, and handle refunds and disputes.
  • Provide creator and platform analytics and improve reliability and performance.
  • Send requested notifications, service updates, receipts, and support responses.
  • Review reports, moderate content, detect abuse and fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect users.
  • Comply with applicable law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where consent is legally required for an optional activity, we request it separately. This policy does not replace that consent.

3. Public information and sharing with other users

Your username, profile information you make public, public posts, and public interactions may be visible to other users and visitors. Content can also appear in feeds, search, shared links, and creator pages. A membership or purchase restriction controls access to the protected content; it does not necessarily hide its title, poster, creator, or other public listing information.

Creators may see information needed to manage their communities, such as member profiles, membership status, and engagement statistics. Sellers and fulfillment providers receive information necessary to fulfill and support orders, including relevant delivery and contact details. Gift, tip, and purchase activity may appear in a live stream's chat or activity displays when you use those features.

Messages are delivered to their intended recipients. Content you share can be copied or recorded by recipients or viewers. Removing it from Skroll cannot remove copies independently made by others.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

We disclose information necessary for vendors to perform services for us, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements. These services include hosting, media storage and delivery, live video infrastructure, authentication, notifications, payment processing, purchase verification, customer support, security, and diagnostics.

Providers used in the current Services include:

  • Twilio: phone verification and verification-message delivery.
  • Stripe: supported checkout, subscription billing, payment administration, and related financial services.
  • RevenueCat and applicable app stores: in-app purchase processing or verification and purchase status management.
  • Agora: live audio and video delivery and associated connection diagnostics.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and device notification services: push notification delivery.
  • Hosting, storage, and content-delivery providers: storage and delivery of content and operation of our systems.

We do not send every category of information to every provider. Independent providers, app stores, sellers, and external websites may also process information under their own privacy notices.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect legal rights. In a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets, information may be disclosed subject to appropriate safeguards and any required notices.

5. Cookies, local storage, and permissions

The website and apps use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for functions such as sessions, security, preferences, and caching. Device or browser settings may let you manage this storage, but disabling necessary storage can affect functionality. Where applicable law requires consent for nonessential technologies, that consent must be obtained before those technologies operate.

Camera, microphone, photo-library, and notification permissions support features you choose to use. You can manage permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working. Allowing photo access does not make your entire photo library public.

6. Retention and account deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Relevant factors include whether your account remains active, whether information is needed to deliver an order or paid service, applicable recordkeeping obligations, security needs, and unresolved disputes. Different categories have different retention needs.

You can initiate account deletion through Settings → Delete account in the app. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request. If you cannot access your account, contact support@skrollapp.com for help requesting deletion.

Deletion removes your public profile and deletes or de-identifies associated information that no longer needs to be retained. Removal of stored media can involve a separate cleanup process. Restricted backup copies may remain until they are overwritten through the applicable backup cycle.

We may retain limited records required for existing orders, payment and payout accounting, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or legal claims. Retained records are not used to restore a deleted public profile. Deleting an account does not automatically erase records maintained independently by a payment provider, seller, or another user.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You can edit available profile information, manage device permissions and notifications, use available content controls, and request account deletion. Unsubscribing from optional messages does not prevent essential security or transaction communications.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and appeal a decision about a privacy request. Where applicable, you may also have rights to opt out of a sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, and to limit particular uses of sensitive information.

To submit a request, email support@skrollapp.com. We may reasonably verify your identity and, where applicable, an authorized agent's authority. We respond within applicable legal time limits, explain any permitted refusal, and do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you wish to appeal our response, reply with "Privacy Appeal" and describe your concern. You may also complain to the privacy regulator responsible for your location.

These rights depend on applicable law and may be subject to exceptions. For example, deletion of a payment record may be restricted by a legal recordkeeping requirement.

8. European and UK users

Where European or UK data protection law applies, we process information on the following bases, as appropriate: performing our contract with you; complying with legal obligations; consent for activities that require it; and legitimate interests in providing, securing, improving, and preventing abuse of the Services, balanced against your rights.

Providing necessary account or transaction information can be a condition of using the associated feature. Optional profile information is not required to browse public content. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

Feed recommendations use information such as viewing activity and interactions to rank content. You may contact us to ask about the use of your information for personalization or to object where applicable law provides that right.

9. International processing

Skroll serves users in the United States and internationally. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Their laws may differ from those of your home country.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the transfer must use an applicable lawful mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact support@skrollapp.com for information about the safeguards applicable to your information.

10. Children and teenagers

Skroll is intended for people 13 years of age or older, subject to a higher minimum age where local law requires it. Where applicable law requires parental permission for a particular processing activity or service, that requirement also applies. We do not knowingly allow accounts below the applicable minimum age.

If you believe a child below the applicable minimum age has provided personal information to Skroll, contact support@skrollapp.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Teenagers should avoid sharing private contact details, identity documents, or location information publicly.

11. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including controls appropriate to the information and service involved. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security. Protect your password and verification codes, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Services or our practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or request consent where required by law.
